Red Hat has proposed a logo for ODF.

Well, I don’t think it is the coolest logo in town, but I was really missing something like this.

So lets use it in campaigns !

Yeah, I also think it look amateurish but this have not stopped me from creating derivatives and posting on my blog.

BTW, I don’t think this is a logo “proposed by Red Hat”, more a jogo made by someone who got it published in the Red Hat Magazine, which does not mean much, even I got an article published there :D

Nicu, thanks for your derivatives. They look much more useful.

Since you are in graphics and Inkscape, I have a request for you:

ODF needs a generic file icon. Those with OpenOffice.org are OpenOffice.org’s, not generic ODF. So 16×16, 32×32, etc.

Also, I’d like to have very small icons that fits a single line of text as the OOo one at http://avi.alkalay.net/2006/08/my-it-presentations.html

Yeah, ODF needs a generic icon, but that icon should be backed by someone with a stake in OOo.
I know about a logo proposed by the Open Document Fellowship, but to my knowledge nobody else use it: http://opendocumentfellowship.org/about_us/events/materials

I can try a document icon with the image from the Red Hat Magazine, but who will use it?
