Jordan was the second Arab country, after Egypt, to sign a peace agreement with Israel. The signing ceremony took place at the southern border crossing of Arabah on October 26, 1994. The agreement ended the state of war between the two countries, which had begun in 1948.

In the photo, we see Hussein I of Jordan and Yitzhak Rabin, accompanied by Bill Clinton, during the Israel-Jordan negotiations months earlier on July 25, 1994.

Our era calls for us to remember dates like this.
